Heimat Pop Up

Labour and Wait is welcoming in the autumn season with a special Heimat pop-up at our Covent Garden shop. Running from 22nd October to 1st November the event will offer a closer look at the heritage, craftsmanship and continuing evolution of Heimat.

Heimat is a German knitwear and clothing brand founded on the idea of creating garments that make you feel at home wherever you are. The German word ‘Heimat’ has no direct English translation, describing a sense of belonging, comfort and security - a feeling that sits at the heart of the brand. Proudly rooted in German craftsmanship and a tradition of precision and quality, Heimat creates simple, purposeful clothing designed to be worn for years. Its collections draw inspiration from traditional workwear, military clothing and the outdoors, with every detail considered with purpose in mind, from distinctive knitted stripes to carefully developed fits and finishes.

The pop-up will highlight the story behind Heimat, from its roots and traditional approach to knitwear through to the manufacturing processes and ideas shaping the brand today. A wider collection of Heimat knitwear will be available throughout the event, giving customers the opportunity to discover styles and pieces beyond the core collection usually stocked at Labour and Wait.

Alongside the pop-up, Labour and Wait will host an evening with Heimat founders Christian and Gemma, who will share the story behind the brand, its approach to manufacturing and the thinking behind its evolving collection. The event offers a chance to experience Heimat not simply as a knitwear label, but as a brand with a strong connection to heritage, quality manufacturing and contemporary design.
